Signs and Words
- New words in English! I've only been listening for the Spanish words, but Rafael insists that we drive in the "car" and that he plays with a "ball". Playtime with Auntie Laura, Auntie Caitlin, and Grammy Nancy is working!
- May '09 at 15 Months - sooo many signs!!! elefante (elephant), gato (cat), raton (mouse), oso (bear), libro (book), auto (car), avion (plane), helicoptero (helicopter), cepillo de dientes (toothbrush), peineta (hairbrush/comb), banarse (take a bath), tomar/beber (drink), comer (eat), mas (more), por favor (please)... and the list goes on!!!
- 1/19 - Said "Pez" (fish) while looking at the tropical fish nightlight in cousin Nicole's bedroom.
- 1/09 - Signs "Pájaro" (bird) very enthusiastically every time he sees a bird in the sky (and he's always looking...)
- 1/09 - Signs "León" (lion)
- 12/31 - Signed "Papá" for the first time!
- Signs "Leche" (milk) when mommy asks if he would like some
- Says "Mamamama" when he needs la mommy
- Signs "Ventilador" (fan) by waving his pointer finger in the air
- Says "uuzz" sometimes while signing "Luz"
- Signs "Luz"

Al, that is some awesome hand-eye coordination, and incredible talent to play sports and music at the same time! He is such a cutie! I'm so happy I got to spend some time with you guys last week! :)
