All about swimming

Rafael spent a couple of hours in the shallow pool yesterday, ducking under water and blowing bubbles. Two little girls (3 and 5 years old), sisters, were showing off their new swimming skills, going under and swimming around, and Rafa did everything possible to imitate them and keep up. But the bubble blowing was outstanding and he's mastered it! In the "baby pool" he can walk around and even pull himself out on his own. He proceeds to count to 3 (a la una una una, a las dos dos dos, a las tres tres tres, SALTA!) and jump back in. He loves the splash and commotion it makes. Rafael is fearless in the water and although I had to fish him out a couple of times, he doesn't seem to mind being all choked up with water.

I, however, dreamt all night about scooping him out of the water after watching him go under... oof!
